Welcome to Avon Travel Basketball
Welcome to avontravelbasketball.org - the on-line home of the Avon Boys' and Girls' Travel Basketball programs of Avon, CT.
We are the only not-for-profit travel basketball organization in Avon. Each winter, we compete in the CBTBL and CGBL travel leagues where we play a competitive, local schedule of home-amd-home games against the travel teams from other towns in Central CT such as West Hartford, Farmington and Simsbury. When numbers allow and we can field two teams for a given grade, we also will enter teams in NCC and Northstars leagues.
Avon Travel Basketball promotes and supports competitive boys and girls basketball teams to enhance and improve players’ skills fostering a positive environment of sportsmanship and teamwork. Avon Travel Basketball offers the opportunity for Avon Boys and Girls in the 4th through 8th grades to play at a level which encourages growth as an individual and as a team.

Registration has closed and Tryouts have been completed!
Boys We've finalized teams and the coaches have sent out an email to those that made the team. If you did not make the team you'll receive an email with other basketball options for the winter.
A few items of importance:
- This year we'll be transitioning to a new uniform for our 4th graders.
- Registration day will take place on Thursday, 10/23 from 5-8:00PM at the Thompson Brook School cafeteria. That night you'll need:
- Registration payment: $375 – either check made out to Avon Travel Basketball or Zelle digital payment option
- Proof of residency – COPY of a bill or statement mailed to your Avon address with an Aug-October date; a utility bill is best.
- NEW PLAYERS ONLY: COPY of player’s birth certificate
- Completed uniform form, to be sent by coaches (including preferred jersey #) & payment; form is inclusive of jersey, shorts, shooter shirt, pinney and team sweatshirt.
